Paulette Demers Turco's recently released book Shimmer (Kelsay Books, 2023) is an ekphrastic collection of her art and poetry. A Powow River Poet since 2018, she is editor of The Powow River Poets Anthology II (Able Muse Press, 2021) and a co-organizer and host of Powow Poetry readings. Her chapbook In Silence (Finishing Line Press) was released in 2018. Her poetry appears in The Lyric, Ibbetson Street, The Poetry Porch, Mezzo Cammin, Loch Raven Review, Quill & Parchment, and others. Her awards include the Robert Frost Poetry Award, Lesley University MFA in Writing President’s Award, Rockport Poetry Festival Ekphrastic Poetry Award. Ann McCrea, a Newburyport resident for 43 years, has recently published  Haiku Through the Seasons. Her poetry has appeared in “The Ibbetson Press”, “Merrimac Mic Anthology”, and “The Aurorean”. She reads at open mics in NH and MA, was the featured poet at Amesbury Public Library and at The  Joppa Flats Audubon Center.

 Her sculpture has been exhibited at Maudslay State Park , and her collages and sculpture shown in MA galleries. Ann has taught haiku to adults on Zoom and in person, as well as sculpting and collage to adults and children in her studio and schools and libraries throughout New England. 

 A student of Rhina P. Espaillat’s Lyceum classes, Ann participates in Alfred Nicol’s ongoing poetry workshop.
